here Dallas is better known for its business and banking instincts than its cultural treasures and must-see attractions - in fact, Fort Worth gallops fast ahead of it on the cultural radar. Plenty of visitors come to Dallas and go native: shop during the day, eat and drink and attend big-time sporting events at night and on weekends. But Big D, a young city, can certainly entertain visitors for a few days or more: it has its infamous Kennedy legacy (which it has reluctantly decided to embrace), revitalized state fairgrounds, and a growing arts scene, plus a handful of surprising parks, and enjoyable places for the kids.
Dominating the Dallas skyline is sphere-topped Reunion Tower; it rises 50 stories, and the dome rotates very slowly (completing a single rotation in just under an hour).
Southfork Ranch The Texas ranch that became internationally famous in the long-running TV series "Dallas" operates today as both a tourist attraction and an event/conference facility.
